Ruiyi won the Pramod Subramanyan *17 Early Career Graduate Award!
Congrats to Ruiyi Shen for receiving the Pramod Subramanyan *17 Early Career Graduate Award. This award recognizes accomplished early career graduate students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department for their outstanding academic and research performance during the first two years of the graduate program. This is the second consecutive year that students in SWAN Lab have won this prestigious award.

Robert and Atsutse Won the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship!

AgriTera received the Best Paper Award in ACM MobiCom 2023. This paper presents a technique to detect the ripeness of produce using sub-TeraHertz frequencies and can help reduce food waste. Congrats to Saad, Atsutse, and Subhajit for their great work!

Prof. Ghasempour is selected as one of the 10 “Stars” in Computer Networking and Communications!
An influential research community called N2Women, supported by the National Science Foundation, IEEE, SIGMOBILE, Google, Microsoft, and a range of other discipline-specific organizations, publish a list of 10 women who have risen to the top of the field of networking and communication. Congrats to Dhyan Patell and Ben Herber for receiving The Sigma Xi Book Award granted by the Sigma Xi Society to the students who have demonstrated outstanding research ability and clear writing in their senior theses.
SWAN lab received funding from NSF to work on Resilient and Intelligent Next-Generation Systems (RINGS)
We are excited to kick off this NSF-funded RINGS project with our collaborators Kaushik Sengupta and Kyle Jamieson. Together, we will develop the next generation of resilient millimeter-wave wireless networks via distributed in-surface computing. Read more here
